the six of wands

Knight of Wands 2_edited.jpg

Sixes represent harmony, idealism, inner peace.

“It’s victory day around here! Take a lap around the track. Be sure to look out for small wins. And I mean small. You can be happy if your alarm goes off on time.”

Wands are associated with the element of FIRE. Wands represent new growth, energy, and action.

The card shows a young man on top of his stallion with a wand in his hand upraised. The stallion is the purest of whites. The upraised wand has a wreathe on the end of it. Our young mans’ cape is flowing behind him. In his hair a laurel leaf wreath. Five wands are buried in the earth behind him.

This young man shows all the signs of being victorious. The wreathe that he holds up on his staff / wand is held high signifying that he has overcome the competition. The wreath on his head is a symbol of triumph. The laurel or bay leaves represent peace and harmony, meaning the contest is over and victory has been achieved. This young man also looks extremely confident in this demeanor, sitting tall in the saddle, head held high. The white stallion is a symbol of strength, purity, and success.

The spotlight is on you. Victory is coming. As our young victor is parading through the village, he is getting the much-needed recognition that he deserves.

Normally when drawing the Six of Wands there is an indication that outward approval is at hand. A promotion maybe? Or just a friend telling you how important you are in their life.

Of course, we cannot always depend on others to commend us. You can just as easy pat yourself on the back.

Note: As much as this card signals victory or accomplishment, the wreath at the top of the wand tells us to not forget the defeated. Don’t be too full of yourself but show respect and empathy for the other. In all ways it is good to practice fair play and not hold it over others.
