So everyone is on a journey, right? We choose the path forward. Or do we? How many of us feel forced into taking a certain route?
It begins with our parents, they teach us the way they want us to be. Maybe
they pushed us hard to fulfill the dreams they had and could never accomplish. Maybe they pushed us by a moral code (that was relevant in their time) that doesn't make sense now.
We grow up, break from our parents and begin our journeys. But there are SOOOOO many influencers on the way. Teachers, husbands/wives, strangers projecting on us. It is tough out here in the real world.
Fast forward into the future and here it comes, the breakdown or realization that maybe this isn't the path we wanted to take!! How the hell did we end up here!!
Enter The Three of Wands. This card is the card of Expansion. After each step we take, we can reverse or change course. We can expand our view and see all the opportunities that lie ahead. Before we start, we can pause and examine our options.
This highly creative card is urging us to look ahead with a sense of adventure and to explore future possibilities. Leave the past and old thought patterns behind. It is time to reflect on what we know to be right for us (and not for someone else). This card is not about taking a risk. But to prepare, like all good explorers, with everything we need for our journey.
The most important thing to remember is that you are in charge. Don't let what has come before you dictate what is ahead of you. Take your path. And remember, you can always change the road your on.
