Ran into a local....

I was taking a walk around a mountain lake the other day and literally ran into a local. I was not paying attention and if truth be known I was letting off a bit of negative energy and that is why when I finally looked up and saw the local right in front of me, it shocked the heck out of me!

That bear didn't give me any thought at all, just kind of looked at me and wandered away before I could even get a front shot with my cell phone.

But what does this all mean? I was wrapped up in my own thoughts and didn't see what was right in front of me...enter the Four of Cups.

The figure on the Four of Cups is in his own world and not paying attention to anything around him. All that he needs is right there. Wisdom (represented by a mighty oak tree), stability (represented by the roots he sits on), and answers (represented by the cup that is hovering right in front of him on angel wings).

Refocus is what the card is saying. In my case I was so wrapped up I was missing the obvious. When I did look up and see that beautiful creature, just out for a stroll, my mood changed. I snapped to attention. I watched and followed that bear until I could follow no more. Gone was the negative energy. And in it's place there was an overwhelming sense of gratitude.

So today, focus on an issue you are having. Take a look at what is right in front of you and see if there is an answer. If you ask a question out loud, then you will either see the answer right then, or it will come to you later.
