Doesn't really matter where you go these days, you find art. There is graffiti EVERYWHERE. The once silver utility boxes are now painted by artists. Fire hydrant's are now red, yellow or are made to look like Santa's. Art is popping up all over the place on walls around the nation. I was in Cincinnati a few weeks ago and around every corner there is a mural depicting the social agendas of the artists who painted them.
I went on a six mile hike the other day. Three miles up with a gain in elevation of 1600 feet. Then 6 miles back down. This is what I found at the top:
Someone (or many some-ones) carried their paints up a trail for three miles and painted on a slab of concrete that was up on the top. Really? How many people are going to see this? You know we all see the graffiti on the freeways. But here at the end of a trailhead?
In comes the Empress. The Empress literally stands for creation, abundance, nature, the arts and pleasure. The Empress also brings a feminine vitality along with her energy.
So if we are talking about that crazy graffiti art at the top of that hill, I am thinking: nature (yep on the top of the hill); determination (carting all that paint up there); creativity (so maybe that is not your thing (but it is totally colorful)); abundance (everywhere); pleasure (totally made me smile when I was up there). WOW!
When drawing the Empress it is time to be creative in both your career and your personal life. Don't expect things to just fall into your lap. Use your instincts to guide you.
Color your world today! Switch out your black pen with a pastel blue pen. Or maybe red is your thing. See what transpires when you look at the world through color. You just might be inspired.
