The suit of Pentacles is associated with the material world. It is the way we see ourselves living in the world and how we relate to it.

The Two of Pentacles is about balance, flexibility, and change. Our fairy-like creature is dancing with her eyes closed with a kind of reckless abandon. At any second, she could drop her coins (pentacles). Yet she pays no attention. She is living in the moment. The infinity symbol signifies limitlessness or eternity.

All of us have to remain flexible in order to keep up with our changing lives. Our dancer is reminding us to keep having fun while adapting to the changes. As we balance and multi-task our way through life, we accumulate knowledge. We become more adept at keeping on our feet.

The only constant is change. We get older, our priorities change. We want different things. Changing is a part of life. We get pretty comfortable when nothing drastic happens, but when it does it can feel like our worlds are falling apart.

Today change is coming. Embrace it. Change is a good thing.

Don’t worry about holding on to things so tightly. Recognize the fact that you have gotten really good at balancing the different aspects of your life. You are confident and have the ability to take a larger step forward. The only way to do that is by changing. As Pentacles are rooted in the material world, then expect an external change and adapt to it.
