the high priestess

The High Priestess is card number two which is influenced by the Moon (tides/emotions). Twos are the vibration and energy of balance, peace, sensitivity, intuition, and emotions.

“As you go through your day, pay attention to the little signs that present themselves. Open your mind. Remember the High Priestess knows all, but it is up to you to figure it out!”

The High Priestess is sitting upright between two pillars. A small crown sits upon her head. She is holding a book in her hands. Her elegant gown is held together with a moon clip. The background is gold with a mural of roses circling the gold.

The High Priestess is the keeper of unknown knowledge. She knows all but reveals nothing. She is the path between the two pillars. Sitting between the two pillars, she makes up the third pillar serving as a gateway between the other two. She believes that both pillars are equal and there is knowledge to be gained by both. The pillars have been known to represent good and evil; masculine and feminine; negative and positive; the tangible world and the unconscious mind.

When you draw this card in a daily reading, it is a sign that you need to cut through the veil of life’s illusions, to look beyond what is obvious or plain fact. The card is asking you to use your intuition to find the answers.

So, what is on your plate today? Upon choosing the High Priestess it occurs to me that you have a decision to make, and you are not quite sure which way to go. Or maybe something that has been nagging at you will reveal itself today. Maybe a conversation you had a week ago, will somehow “click” and solve a problem. No matter what, as you go through your day, pay attention to the little signs that present themselves. Open your mind. Remember the High Priestess knows all, but it is up to you to figure it out!
