the six of cups

Two of Cups_edited.jpg

Sixes represent harmony, idealism, inner peace.

“How can we tap into our inner child more often in our lives? This card is telling us to live in the moment. Appreciate where you are right now.”

Cups are associated with the element of WATER. The suit of Cups is how we relate to the world, looking through the lens of our own perception.

The card shows two children playing in the grass in front of a home. They have the six cups sitting in front of them and they are putting flowers in the cups. One boy is holding a flower and the other is filling the cup. They are very occupied with their tasks. They are working together in harmony.

The children, being intent on playing with the cups and flowers, represent living in the moment and not worrying about anything else. Children look at life one minute at a time. These two are working together (not fighting for control).

Drawing this card is about tapping into your inner child and enjoying yourself. Leave the past behind and focus on what is right in front of you. Enjoy today without the usual worry that normally overpowers our lives. Work together for a common goal and a positive outcome. On the flip side, are you so innocent that you are leaving tasks undone? Take a look at what is going on in your life right now. Either let go and be in the moment or construct your life to include play, but not smirk responsibilities.

I love this card! Two little kids playing peacefully in the grass. How can we tap into that innocence more often in our lives? Regardless, this card is telling us to live in the moment. Of course, we all have lots of responsibilities, but we can still live in the present moment and enjoy what is happening. Appreciate where you are right now.
