the nine of cups

Two of Cups_edited.jpg

Nines represent action, courage, self-confidence.

“Give yourself a pat on the back. No matter what your circumstances, it is time for you to bask in the glow of the life you have created for yourself

(even if you feel you have a long way to go).”

Cups are associated with the element of WATER. The suit of Cups is how we relate to the world, looking through the lens of our own perception (emotions).

The Nine of Cups presents a scholarly looking gentleman with his arms crossed standing in from of his nine cups. Around his generous waistline is a pouch, filled to the brim. He dons a beret and cloak resembling an artists’ attire.

Our gentleman has arrived. He has gotten to a point where he is completely content, having achieved success both spiritually and economically. His pouch, no doubt filled with coins, is full. All his cups are lined up in front of him, seemingly on display. He has plenty to eat (waistline) and he has used his intelligence wisely to get to where he is today. His beret symbolizes his connection to his feelings (artists represent passion and emotion).

This card is referred to as the “Wish” card. Meaning all of our dreams (wishes) have come true. Life is stable and things are going in a positive direction. Self-satisfaction has been achieved and with it a sense of pride. A job well done; a task completed. Whatever it is, it has been earned.

The Nine of Cups is a lucky card! Right now, all is right in the world. A period of happiness is in order. Your cup is full and there should be no reason for feeling lack. A feeling of fulfillment is well deserved.

Today, wish for the things that you know are best for you. Chances are, you will receive them. You are on a winning streak! Savor the feeling of fulfillment that has come to pass. Bottle-up that feeling to pull up later if challenges spring up.

If nothing else, give yourself a pat on the back. No matter what your circumstances, it is time for you to bask in the glow of the life you have created for yourself (even if you feel you have a long way to go).
